There are golden fitness rules and there are ‘crazy fitness rules’. The crazy ones can be eliminated right now. The golden ones will give you success. Check out 21 below that are just about useless…

Just say NO to Gadgets...

There are many fitness ideas out there today and a lot of junk on the internet. I occasionally even hear crazy things come out of some personal trainers mouths. Here are 21 mistakes that you should avoid at ALL COSTS if you want to get in shape…

1. Doing too much cardio
2. Not lifting enough weight
3. Not lifting weights at all
4. Eating too much crap
5. Participating in “restriction” diets…aka low carb, low fat, etc
6. Not eating enough to support muscle recovery and energy levels
7. Dehydration
8. Not staying committed to the training process
9. Sticking with the same workout for months or even years
10. Long, slow cardio sessions instead of intense conditioning intervals
11. Using machines and single joint movements instead of complex, multi-joint free weight and body weight exercises
12. Not getting enough sleep
13. Reading while performing “conditioning” workouts on the bike…if you are reading, you are not working hard enough
14. Training every single day without recovery days
15. Not working on mobility…if you can’t move, you can’t train properly
16. Not properly stretching or foam rolling after a training session
17. Trying to do everything on your own (hire a trainer or work out with a friend)
18. Training sessions are too long, rest time is too long. Unless you are training for absolute power, you do not need 3+ minutes between sets…Get into the gym and kick butt for 45-60 minutes and leave.
19. Bringing your cell phone to the gym. Get over yourself. Unless it’s an emergency you are not that important
20. Not eating enough fruits and vegetables
21. Too much focus on the scale. Focus on your clothes, body fat percentage, and how you feel

In order to really get fit, in shape, and feeling great you MUST perform strength training workouts, eat a balanced nutrition plan with plenty of fruits, veggies, lean meats, natural protein sources, whole grains, and tons of water, and skip the cardio and replace it with high intensity interval workouts such as sprints, jump rope, hill sprints, or interval runs.

Train hard and smart,

I’ve tried two forms of ‘late night eating protocol’ in my life. They can be split into two easy segments or practices.

1) Is eating whatever I like – whatever the time of evening…..

2) Is Deciding not to eat anything after 7.30-8pm…

I used to think that one was absolutely right and the other was totally wrong. The right one I assumed at one time in my life was to stop after 7.30 and not touch a thing. I used to stick to this after my heavy traveling years once I ‘settled down’. But then it all changed…

what time of day do you stop eating?

You probably hear people tell you that you have to stop eating after 8pm. And hear a lot that to eat later than this time is to add pounds direct to your frame – or fat direct to your ‘stubborn areas’.

It makes sense I suppose when you consider the fact that 95% of us don’t do anything close to ‘energetic’ after this time – well almost nothing!

Seriously, a majority of people don’t work out late in the evening – even though the rise in 24hour health clubs has exploded and the opportunity to train into the small hours is right there for all of us. Hey, and even if people do train late, in an ideal world the majority who want to lose fat will stick to a lighter protein or meal replacement option instead of say a large plate of pasta at 11pm.

But in looking at both growing research, my own ideas and theories and the habits of many top pro fitness trainer friends I have, I’ve decided to sum it up and sit somewhere in the middle – to give us all options and less guilt or panic over late night feeding – and therefore not stick to one theory or the other anymore.

So for a good while now I’ve told my clients and a lot of you too, my ‘diet solution’ of a ‘slide diet for fat loss’ – meaning I tend to consume and recommend people consume there most heavy carbs, and bigger meals at breakfast, then taper off during the day. This to me is a good way to structure your diet as of course you are moving during the day which in turn allows you to burn those calories. As we get to 2-3pm I tend to NORMALLY stop complex carb intake, like potatoes, pastas and such foods – instead replacing them with fibrous vegetables and fruits.

This way I don’t feel bloated in the evening.

However, here I’ll add that I do in fact eat after 8pm as well! – What? You ask….

No worries, I’ll explain: – it’s light snack type meals – nuts, oranges, seeds etc. (even snacks of raw vegetables up to 10pm) but my portions are small handfuls.

NOW – there are also occasions when I do train late in the day. On these occasions I actually change my ‘mantra’ – I allow myself to consume some pastas later in the evening (BUT it has to be whole grain or high fiber pastas – not general pasta) Also my portions are smaller.

Now in saying this I’m saying that its ok to have an evening meal later at night but the secret is the type of meal and the frequency. I personally don’t do this every night, I switch out, simply because I enjoy the feeling of having less of a bloated stomach in the evenings. (I like to consume a lot more water to diminish my ‘cravings’ and maybe a handful of nuts on typical days.) I just don’t want you to worry if sometimes you do go carb heavy in the PM!

Again – don’t think this is a case of approving people to go out each evening, eat at any restaurant then wonder why all the workouts in the world don’t make them drop the weight or tone up; will power will always be a major component in many peoples lives, especially when it comes to fitness and the way to eat if this is a major goal in your life. You see people are beginning to understand that the primary component to fat loss and weight control is 70% diet and 30% workouts/rest and recuperation.

Essentially its great to have a solid workout protocol – but at the same time people need to know that a solid part of that workout is equally strict diet control / or sensible eating. Of course I recommend cheat days (a day once per week to eat anything you like! – I mean almost anything!) – but the whole point of dedicating to a fit lifestyle to get your new fit body and low body fat is to understand the commitment is both in the gym AND in the kitchen.

The points I’m making above are to say, “hey – its ok to eat some nights after a workout with high quality carbs and sensible portions control, don’t kick yourself. But try to treat your body like a fine-tuned machine. You wouldn’t over fill a ferrari with gas, you want it to run consistently and its the same with your body. You can have the cheat days, the evening carb sessions – but make 85% of your eating structure one that allows carbs to taper off during the day, eat more fruit and vegetables later into the day. Eat smaller meals and in a lot of cases maybe even 5-6 throughout the day (not 5-6 BIG meals) – also drink copious amounts of water as it will make you feel fuller and add a good protein supplement source if you like once a day in the form of a smoothie with protein powder and fruits etc.

So no big deal – if you do have a few nights of more carbs than typical – no problem – just stay in control, eat good carbs and whole grain /whole wheat sources and steer well clear of refined, fried or other ‘heart attack’ foods…

In a ‘nutshell’ eat whole foods whose ingredients you can both spell and pronounce – add more water, fruit and vegetables – add a cheat day to let your hair down – workout hard with correct training principles…..And enjoy life!

If you’ve committed to this type of lifestyle these tips above will not send a bolt of fear through you but in fact have most people asking ‘Why more don’t do it if its so easy…’

I know, sometimes people think self control in the world of healthy diets is akin to torture. Truth is its an easy part of your dedication to change your body. For good.

Trust me, a few weeks in you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner! (If in fact you are not already:)

Cheers all:)

Tris

Hey gang, Callie Durbrow back here again with another guest post for my man Tristan and Maverick Fitness Coach DOTCOM.
Today I wanted to give you 7 quick and effective tips for losing belly fat. Many women struggle in this area and it is usually because they go about it the wrong way. You must put this together as a process and remember; it does take time. Read on and enjoy!
First of all, spot reduction is IMPOSSIBLE. I know, I know, you want to tone all those hard to get places but trust me ladies, it will not happen. Your body burns fat as a whole and if I had the magic pill for this then I would be rich…

If you follow these 7 rules, you will lose belly fat, simply because your entire body will be burning fat at all times.

There are 7 Fundamentals for women to lose fat and transform their bodies - Callie tells you all 7...

Read each one, its not complicated – its proven and it is easier than you think. This is your simple road-map to real results and a fat loss, lean muscle, tight hips and firm body COMBINATION!

1. Strength Training- the BEST way to change your body composition and boost your metabolism so that your body is a fat burning machine, burning fat optimally at all times.

2. Interval conditioning- skip the boring, slow cardio and rev up your metabolism and fat burning capabilities with interval work such as sprints or jumping rope. This type of training creates a metabolic effect that will allow you burn calories at the workout rate for up to 36 hours post workout.

3. Eat breakfast. Skipping breakfast slows the metabolic process down and you will not burn calories at rest as quickly as you should. It can also lead to over eating later in the day. Have a combination of complex carbs and protein and you will feel energized and full.

4. Drink plenty of water. Figure out your body weight (pounds) and drink 1/2 of that in ounces. Staying hydrated keeps your metabolism going and also helps prevent fluid retention.

5. Perform multi-joint movements when strength training. Squats, lunges, pull ups, push ups, and Kettlebell movements are the best for fat loss. You will rev up your metabolism, develop lean and toned muscles, and burn a ton of calories both during and after the training session. Avoid machines and isolated movements if you want to kick that extra belly fat (especially around the middle).

6. Don’t obsess over the scale. Weigh yourself once a week if you have to. Otherwise, just stay away. Focus on your physique, how your clothes feel, and your body composition. Get your body fat percentage tested every 6 weeks if possible. This will ensure that you are losing the right kind of weight. The scale cannot tell the difference.

7. Eat every 3-4 hours. If you starve yourself and restrict calories, your body automatically slows down and you will not efficiently burn fat. Fuel the fire (your metabolism) every several hours with quality foods such as fruits, veggies, lean protein, low fat dairy and healthy fats including nuts and avocados.

Losing body fat (in most cases, belly fat) is a complete process. You must strength train, eat properly and at the right times, perform high intensity interval conditioning, and drink plenty of water. If any of these pieces of the puzzle are lacking, you progress will suffer.
You cannot lose fat in just one spot, but for many women the excess fat lies around the middle of the body. If your body becomes efficient at burning calories while you are NOT working out, you will see drastic changes in your overall composition. Follow these 7 tips and remember that it’s a long term process, not a quick fix. Anyone can lose a few pounds in a week, but to create an efficient fat burning body, you must get in the trenches and do the work.

(*Note from Tris – Callie, SUPERB concise informative post – people, I hope you take these on board as they are the fundamentals – brilliant!)

How do you burn more body fat? – Simple – True Training Variety.

For most people the need to burn body fat is one of the highest on a list of desires when they start a fitness program.

Whether it is for the guys wanting to create a more ripped and cut physique or maybe the women who want to drop pounds and show off lean curvacious hips and thighs.

The important thing to remember is that burning excess body fat need not be a hassle or a pain, or something people face wondering if in fact they actually can.

The answer to doing this is a simple one – assuming you are dedicated to your workouts and of course controlling your diet and your caloric intake.

So lets assume you are on top of your diet, you have a regime in place that allows you ‘x’ amount of calories per day and now you just need a workout or a system that is going to blast off those excess calories.

Many people will do a certain workout, a certain type of exercising and follow it for a period of weeks – maybe training 3 days a week etc. This is good, no knocking anyone who is actually getting in their workouts – I respect anyone who is committed.

However, the one thing I put my clients and customers on is a plan that invloves one concept to base their entire workouts around.

And that concept is True Training Variety.

properly burning fat will show muscles you never thought you had...

Simply put the best results I see in my 15+ years as a fitness pro have come from people who are constantly challenging their body with new and invigorating workout protocol. I don’t mean just doing a few weeks of one thing and then switching – no, I mean having a workout that will change up consistently and regularly forcing the body through continual periods of adaptation – and in turn never allowing it to hit the plateau where stagnation sets in.

This is very easy to do and ultimately will give people real results in a much more attractive time span.

In my Maverick Intensity Training Program for total body change, lean muscle growth and unlimited fat loss I created a system that would offer up to four unique protocols during workout programs. Daily changes to the training would encourage the body to stay in an elevated fat burning state, the muscles would constantly be required to adapt to new stimuli and all in all the boredom level would be destroyed as a person would face continual variety in their programs.

This is the way I see mainstreem fitness moving for a typical person wanting to burn body fat, drop calories and still get a workout in that challenges every area of their body.

I believe in incorporating both resistance weight training and body weight training as well as different timing protocols. Ultimately a program or workout system structured with True Training Variety is going to take any person – man or woman – to the next level of results based training AND importantly it will create fat burning increases in their bodies that will excite them to continue along this path in traininig.

Oh, and I also like to mention that I prefer workouts that are intense, rapid and done within an hour max – you don’t need to be in a gym for hours on end for the purpose of body transformation and ultimate fat loss.

Women need to work out with progressive and challenging workout protocols to easily begin burning stubborn tummy fat

Hey everyone, Callie Durbrow here with a guest post for my pal Tristan. Tristan is an awesome trainer and the man when it comes to core training. I just wanted to drop in with a little female perspective regarding the subject of strength training for fat loss.

Go-To Maverick Fitness Pro Callie Dubrow Knows Exactly How Women Should Train

Strength training is THE MOST important way to lose fat. Often times though, it’s the thing that women avoid because of the notion that they will turn into some pumped up body builder as soon as the pick up the weights.

This will not happen and I’ll explain why later. Here’s the real truth and the inside scoop on how you can lose fat, tighten your entire body and just look flat out amazing…

Lose Body Fat—>Boost Your Metabolism—>This is done through a balanced diet and increasing LEAN MUSCLE—> Resistance Training

There is the formula folks….it’s simple and does not involve a lot of complex hours at the gym, fancy machines or running miles. Here’s why it works…

The more lean muscle tissue that you body has, the more calories you will burn at rest. This is what happens when we talk about increasing your metabolism. The long term goal is to have your metabolism at a high level constantly. That leads to fat loss. Why does this happen? Because lean muscle is a very active tissue and needs calories (energy) to burn at a much higher rate than fat.

Women need to have lean muscle - period.

When you have a high amount of lean muscle tissue, you will be burning calories when you are not working out (cool, huh?)…you will burn while you work, sleep…hey, I’m burning calories as I write this…

So many people (women specifically) want to lose weight. Now what does this mean exactly? When you focus all of your efforts on getting that pesky scale to display a lower number, you are not really progressing toward the ultimate goal. We can all lose weight but what does that do for us in the long run?

Do you want to weigh less or take up less space?

Think about that for a second…You could weigh 140 pounds and have 40% body fat (that’s 56 pounds of fat!) or you could be 140 pounds and 20% body fat (28 pounds of fat)…which is a very healthy percentage for an active woman.

If you are only focused on what the scale says; you will probably not achieve the ultimate goal of gaining lean muscle and losing fat. How would I take up less space if I weighed the same, you ask?

Muscle is an active tissue, as we mentioned, and it’s also a very dense tissue. Muscle is 1.1g per cubic centimeter, which fat tissue is 0.9g per cubic centimeter. That means you can pack a lot more muscle into a small space than you can fat!

Gaining muscle is often a scary thought for women. I know what you are all thinking…”I don’t want to look bulky and thick.”
Don’t worry…women do not possess enough growth hormone and testosterone to produce such an effect. Plus, when training for fat loss and lean muscle development (I hate the word “tone”, but that’s pretty much what it is), you are not going to be pumping out body building type workouts.

Here’s how you can efficiently and effectively develop the body of your dreams:

Use large movements such as squats, lunges, chin ups, push ups and step ups that will burn more calories and use more muscles

Train in circuit or complex formats that will boost your heart rate and help you train in less time

Lift heavy weights with perfect technique

Use shorter duration, higher intensity

Avoid machines, isolated movements, and long slow cardio

women can train at levels they probably don't believe.

If you are looking for a fun, efficient and effective workout…variations of strength training is the way to go. Your clothes will fit better, you will feel tight and lean, you will be burning fat at rest and you will have more confidence. Train hard!

It is quite interesting the number of people who begin a training program with me under the impression that abdominal muscles are something that is waiting to be created. Reality is a person has better abs than they are aware…

abs are made with correct exercise - and in the kitchen!

Ok, to clarify what is common knowledge to some and interesting eye-opening truth for others: We all have abs, we just need to uncover them to see our true potential.

And this is done with the old favorite – fat loss.

The reality is that our pure abdominal training should certainly be a major factor in our schedule and program planning but the essential of any six pack abs or fitness system is incorporating both exercises that burn the most calories (to melt fat around our waist, hips, and core) and also follow sensible eating habits to allow functional fat burning and ultimately the visual results we crave.

Long gone are the days of hammering out as many ‘crunches’ or sit-ups as possible in the hope our abs will rise from the depths like Atlantis. Sensible fitness training for six pack abs requires compound / full body resistance and bodyweight exercise, HIIT & Metabolic Resistance Training and diet that allows us to perform intense workouts at the same time as restricting unnecessary calories.

By performing the above type of exercise and workout structures we are able to burn maximum fat at the same time we actually create lean muscle in our abdominal section – because its important to understand and train our midsection as any other muscle group. To consider the outdated concept that abs are a small muscle group so don’t ‘over-train’ them is really not accurate and is missing the point. The body should be trained as a whole unit as well as training specific bodyparts and compound moves actually call on the abs and core to assist, stabilize and ultimately work alongside other muscles in certain exercises.

Train correctly to save time and get stunning resul

Our use of compound exercise (that requires stimulation and recruitment of many muscles and muscle groups at the same time) will create stability and synergistic muscle stimulation. i.e. doing a ‘single leg balanced press up’ will illicit your full core to stabilize as one leg is lifted, AT THE SAME TIME as you perform a push up / press up – you see how this type of exercise will burn more calories by placing demand on numerous muscles all working in different ranges and with different goals? (i.e. some supporting, some doing major work etc) – compare it to say a standard barbell curl for biceps (isolation exercise)

Essentially all exercise is good to incorporate. but variety is the key. And for real fat loss to show off our abs we should participate in using compound exercise as much as possible.

So we know diet is important. But…

Compared to a person solely doing isolation exercises and typical 40 minute cardio sessions, the person who uses compound resistance & bodyweight exercises as well as metabolic resistance training and HIIT will be on absolutely the right path to not only see results much quicker and with shorter workouts times, but also be the proud owner of truly impressive six pack abs and a lean core because fat loss gets ramped up to the levels needed to melt the stubborn body fat most effectively and quickly.

I’ll show you a cool workout in the next posts that you can use right away to blast fat as well as create the best midsection of your life.

Nobody is saying that a full-on, 30-40 minute workout with correct compound exercises and the right intensity is not great for our fat loss goals. But what should also be thrown into the mix of results based training is ‘short-burst’ exertion training that is considered the ‘missing-link’ for true fat loss results.

This is a topic I am passionate about. I have trained many people over the years and the basic principle I use in every session we embark upon when serious fat loss is the major goal is exercises that are structured around short burst exertion.

What do I mean by this? Well it is simple.

I use forms of exercises that mimic reality.

In our everyday lives we typically are forced to randomize our pace/speed/intensity/rest/exertion and many other logistics.

We don’t spend 30 minutes doing something at full speed then immediately go to sleep etc, no our bodies are constantly in a state of adaption. We are constantly in periods of short bursts of energy, short rest periods. We sit – stand – pause for a coffee – head to the store – sit and read and so on…

The reality is that our lives are active (most of the time) and fluctuate between bursts of expelled energy and a rest period.

I structure my clients workouts and our systems around this approach because not only does it benefit us most in daily life because it mimics our real world physical events but it is also proven to be the most productive form of fitness training we can do – if of course our intensity is maxed out during the workouts.

For example, consider the level of fitness needed to play soccer, rugby, football, tennis or any other activity that requires stop-start fitness ability. It’s immense!

Short burst training incorporate this mentality, again an example is weight training. Any resistance exercise is performed as a short time exertion (lifting etc) followed by a brief rest and then repeated. (and I might add that resistance training is the number one way for women to burn stomach fat and tone up – results are phenomenal – don’t ever think if you are female that resistance training will bulk you up and make you end up muscular and ‘manly’ – that is an old and outdated concept and I cover it specifically in another post)

But weight training is not the only exercises philosophy a person training correctly should use, another one that incorporates the ‘stop-go’ effect is High Intensity Interval Training.

I also use HIIT for all my clients because simply put it will burn triple the amounts of fat and can be done in half the time of a typical long duration cardio session.

Again results are incredible and when you train with both resistance training and HIIT you achieve what a lot of people think is not possible and that is rapid fat loss and the type of body they always wanted in a relatively short amount of time. (of course the extra ingredient of all this is sensible eating and a structured diet – more on that in other posts)

So the successful workout concepts fall into three categories for this discussion. They are HIIT, Resistance Training & Short Burst Exertion Training. (SBET)

We discussed that SBET is a form of HIIT. It is also a workout structure that can be performed alone with both body weight and resistance training exercises. By using specific exercises and changing the timing protocols and focusing on explosive workout structure a training session can be devised that is more SBET than pure HIIT. Both are great, SBET is just a modified version of the best form of cardio you can do: HIIT.

Either way, if you incorporate these three workout fundamentals into your program you’ll lose fat. Period.

Short Burst Exertion Training works in unision with HIIT & Resistance Training for real fat loss results!

If you are putting in the time you should really be getting real results from that effort. And using proven protocols and randomizing your training will yield the successes you crave.

For years a majority of trainees have trained in a certain way, up to certain intensity levels and ultimately reaped a specific level of conditioning. Today the conditioning landscape is changing more than any other time in fitness history. This is a damn good thing!

elite training begins NOW!

The Death Finally Of Cardio & Old Style Conditioning

Ok, we could define elite conditioning training as many things from an athlete aiming to complete a marathon and training accordingly to a ‘regular person’ wanting to challenge themselves with a new fitness protocol to move them out of a comfort zone.

This last definition is what I feel the future of real elite conditioning and fitness training should be. Today people are challenging themselves more than ever. Ok, we are not all going to be elite olympic marathon runners but the exciting thing changing in the fitness world is that of more and more people seeing the possibilities in front of them that will offer variety, challenge and a level of personal results that have not been so accessible before.

Training Is Now Challenging Any Person To Test Their Boundaries

Today people want variety in their fitness. I agree, as a trainer, there will always be people who look at their fitness regime as one that requires they get into their gym 2-3 days a week after work and they are perfectly happy following their trainers program that may have them in front of the cardio tv sets on their treadmill and then on to a nice run through the machines etc. Thats fair enough and not bad at all – not optimal – but not bad. and congratulations to anyone who gets into the gym in the first place!

But what I’m alluding to here is the growing number of people who know they are capable of so much more and capable of levels of training and stimulating fitness protocols that they are searching out the new breed of fitness training. Its out there, trust me, and new forms are popping up daily.

Certainly the old guard like weight training, cardio (though not long form cardio please! – read HIIT), circuit training etc are still great, but now the HYBRID forms of training are starting to take over. Look at cross-fit for a perfect example of the shift in training protocol.

You could say its a return to old school principles and in a way it is, yes. But its all wrapped up in a new challenging ideology that numerous forms of training can be blended together to offer an elite level workout that any person can succeed in with the right determination and faith in their ability to do this type of training.

A Person Should Continually Challenge Themselves - They'll Be Surprised

All in all I’ll sign of here saying that a person today understands that they can really challenge their bodies and there are tools and systems available to prove people right.

For too long people have only really known or been schooled in the idea of going to the gym, doing the few different exercises sandwiched between some cardio for good measure….

But the shift from the smart people who began moving into properly structured group training classes and circuits is giving way to more and more people realizing that anyone can attempt and succeed in the new breed of fitness training systems coming up….

And in turn really test the boundaries of any persons true fitness potential!

Change It Up To Guarantee The Best Results of Your Life...

If a persons abdominal / six pack abs workout is structured incorrectly a lot off effort used will only produce minimal results. When you train abs you need to remember the 3 sided jigsaw approach so results are relative to effort…its not hard – you just need to know how…

3 piece jigsaw to six pack abs

A lot of clients I train assume that when we begin structuring our fitness programs that they’ll simply be doing some crunches or sit-ups as their abdominal workout.

That is not the case and in our workouts that could not be further from reality.

What I have all my clients do is a workout for abs & their core that incorporate a three sided approach – or what would be deemed a three piece jigsaw. They will work lower abs, upper abs and their obliques(sides). There is no other way to create the complete package and get structured results. And the order of these three training targets is typically set at doing lower abs, then uppers with obliques added in between or at the end. (this is another topic I’ll discuss in another post)

You see, sit ups and crunches only work the upper abs (I don’t really think you need to be doing sit-ups ever by the way) but for the complete package you need to work your lower abdominals to create that tight and strong waist as well as train your oblique muscles to enhance torsional flexibility and strength and see the rippled muscles in this area of the midsection. The uppers are only a third of the equation.

When you see the models and fitness pros with great midsections that is not from doing solely crunches. It is because of a complete abdominal 3 sided training approach.

I’ll stress here that I also include a lot of core conditioning and lower back structuring in my programs designed for getting six pack abs and burning belly fat, but in terms of the main exercises concerning the abdominal muscles the three sided approach is always what I use.

Here is a short list of some of the typical exercises that I use and rotate during ab specific workouts are:

Side open leg oblique crunches

Split frogs

Straight leg alt toe touches

Sky pointers

Leg alternate splits

Swiss ball crunches

Swiss ball roll ins

In & outs

Again, this is just a small selection of what I use with clients in our sessions.

If you train your abdominals correctly and don’t waste time with tired old sit-ups and keep the balance correct between the three sided approach to abs training then results are almost guaranteed if you are on top of your diet and incorporating the movements that will burn the most body fat.

I’ll also mention that this 3 piece jigsaw to abdominal training can also be incorporated during the ‘full body workouts’ that are essential and well advised for real success in getting six pack abs. I’ll cover that in a new post so you understand not only why full body workouts with full body exercises / compound body weight exercise is essential but also a description of exercises I like and a few workouts you can try.
